YesStyle vs Stylevana in Canada: shipping, returns, price

YesStyle and Stylevana are the two big overseas K-beauty shops that Canadians compare most. Both quote prices in Canadian dollars, and both have a free-shipping minimum that decides whether a small order is worth placing.

This page is built from each shop’s own policy pages, read on 7 October 2026, and from the prices in our October Price Index, observed on 5 October. It isn’t based on test orders, and we make no claims about parcels, packaging or customer service. Policies and rates change, so confirm at checkout.

Stylevana says it ships from a Hong Kong warehouse and closes on Hong Kong public holidays. YesStyle’s help centre announces shipping pauses for the same holidays. The “time” rows count from dispatch, so add processing time. Stylevana says in-stock items usually ship within 24 hours, and slower stock statuses take days to weeks.

Where the shipping rules change the total

The two thresholds are C$7 apart. A basket worth anything from C$68 to C$74.99 ships free from Stylevana and pays C$8.88 at YesStyle.

We took the six non-sunscreen products that both shops had in stock and priced every basket of one to four of them using each shop’s published standard rate. Stylevana’s total was lower in all 56 baskets, and YesStyle’s was never lower.

These totals use list prices only. Both shops run coupon codes that change often, and we haven’t modelled them. A code that takes 15% off at one shop can close or reverse a gap of this size.

Prices below are what we observed in CAD on 5 October 2026, in stock at both.

Stylevana also had the lowest in-stock price of any store we track on five of these six. The exception is the Medicube cream, where the Canadian shop KBeauty Mart listed C$24.47 against C$32.06 at both overseas shops.

Each shop also stocks products the other doesn’t. Of the non-sunscreen products we track, YesStyle alone had four in stock in October (Round Lab Dokdo toner, Numbuzin No.3 serum, I’m From rice toner and Anua rice ceramide serum) and Stylevana alone had eight. The Price Index shows every store for each product.

Duties and taxes

This is where the two shops’ policies differ most.

YesStyle’s help centre says it refunds customs-related taxes and fees on orders under US$1,000. It defines those as customs processing charges, import duties, VAT, and administrative or brokerage fees. To claim, you pay the customs charge first, keep the receipt, and send it to YesStyle within 30 days. The refund comes as YesStyle Credit, not cash. Sales taxes and postal or courier fees such as storage and pick-up handling fees are excluded. For Canada, YesStyle’s tax page lists a 6% Saskatchewan PST that is added at checkout.

Stylevana’s terms say customers are the “Importer of Record” for international orders and are responsible for making sure the products can lawfully be imported. Its shipping, returns and terms pages don’t say who pays duties, and we found no refund policy.

Our duties guide sets out the CBSA rules, the tariff and the Canada Post fee, with an all-in total for the same basket. Treat both shops’ duty wording as the shop’s position, not as a statement of what a courier will bill you.

Returns

Stylevana asks you to send returns to its Hong Kong warehouse. YesStyle lists logistics partners in the United States and Canada as well as its Hong Kong office. Both default to credit rather than money back.

YesStyle asks you to request a return authorization within 14 days of receiving the order, then send the parcel back within 30 days of that authorization. It excludes opened beauty products, and it doesn’t refund coupon discounts or shipping fees.

Stylevana allows 14 days from receipt to request a return, and the parcel must go out within 7 days of authorization. The items must be unused and in original packaging, the original shipping fee isn’t refunded, and you pay return postage if you simply changed your mind. Samples, free gifts and clearance items can’t be returned.

For skincare you’ve tried, neither policy gives you much. Order a size you’re confident about.

Which to pick

• Pick Stylevana if your basket is made of products both shops carry, or if it lands between C$68 and C$75. On our October numbers it was the cheaper of the two every time.
• Pick YesStyle if a product you want is in stock only there, or if the customs-fee refund policy matters for a larger order.
• Skip both if a Canadian shop has the product at a similar price. You avoid the overseas dispatch time, and the Medicube example shows a Canadian shop can be cheaper outright.
