• YesStyle (C$13.38): Ships from Hong Kong. Free shipping over C$75 (read October 5, 2026).
• Walmart.ca (C$23.99): Ships from Canada (marketplace sellers). The K-beauty listings we checked are sold by third-party marketplace sellers. Shipping depends on the seller.

At C$12.39, one item from Stylevana falls under the CBSA’s $20 exemption for mailed goods, so it shouldn’t attract duties or taxes at the door. A bigger order that clears a free-shipping minimum usually won’t.

For one item, the C$11.60 between Stylevana and Walmart.ca is small enough for shipping to erase it, so compare the checkout totals.

What’s in it

Rohto’s Japanese ingredient page for this 20 ml essence (メラノCC 薬用 しみ 集中対策 美容液) lists 11 ingredients, as we read it on October 10, 2026. It’s labelled as a Japanese quasi-drug, so the page lists four “active ingredients” first and then seven “other ingredients”, not one list in INCI order. The names here are our translation from Japanese. YesStyle’s English listing matches it.

• Active ingredients: Ascorbic Acid, Tocopheryl Acetate, Dipotassium Glycyrrhizate, Isopropyl Methylphenol.
• Other ingredients: Tetrahexyldecyl Ascorbate, Ethoxydiglycol, Alpinia Katsumadai Seed Extract, Butylene Glycol, an edetate salt, a viscosity adjuster the label doesn’t name, and Fragrance.

What stands out in our data

These notes come from the October 2026 Price Index and Rohto’s own ingredient page. We haven’t tested the essence on skin, so they are about price and what’s printed on the label.

• Overseas is about half the price. Stylevana (C$12.39) and YesStyle (C$13.38) were the two cheapest. The only Canadian offer in stock was a Walmart.ca marketplace listing at C$23.99, 94% above Stylevana.
• That Walmart.ca listing comes from a third-party seller. It was sold and shipped by HYAKU.CA, with C$5.99 seller delivery when we checked. SKIN.TO lists the essence at C$22.00 but was out of stock.
• It contains fragrance. Among the 20 non-sunscreen products we track, it’s one of four whose lists include fragrance.
• Small tube, high price per 100 ml. At C$61.95 per 100 ml it’s the second most expensive serum we track, after Beauty of Joseon’s Glow Serum (C$63.00).
• Stores use different names. You’ll see it as “Vitamin C Essence”, “Concentration Measures Essence” and “Spot Treatment Essence”, so check for the Melano CC brand and the 20 ml size.
